Il mestrino Vittore (o Vettore) Cargnel lascia l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia per entrare nello studio di Cesare Laurenti, fautore di un filone pittorico molto in voga all’epoca, rintracciabile anche nelle opere di Luigi Nono.
A cavallo tra i due secoli, la predilezione per i ritratti lascerà spazio alle vedute e alla pittura atmosferica. Questa sua fase artistica dedicata ai paesaggi veneti, è quella che più m’interessa dal punto di vista lavorativo. 

Nato nell’entroterra veneziano (Mestre) nel 1872, si spegne a Milano nel 1931.
